Chatfield 2024 Youth Tryouts

Should I attend tryouts?  Not everyone needs to or should attend tryouts.  These tryouts are being held for youth boys who are at an advanced skill level, want to be committed to 20 or more basketball games from November to February, and are prepared for the financial commitment of playing in two leagues.  If you know you are not at an advanced skill level, are unable to make the time commitment or financial commitment, or want to play with your friends, please just register and skip tryouts.  

Boys Youth Tryouts:

Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Chatfield High School 

 

  • 5th Grade Boys 3:00pm - 4:00pm 
  • 6th Grade Boys 4:00pm - 5:30pm
  • 7th Grade Boys 5:30pm - 7:00pm
  • 8th Grade Boys 7:00pm - 8:30pm
  • Please bring a reversible jersey, basketball, and water bottle to tryouts.

 

  • 2nd - 4th grade boys - may return to their 2023-2024 team, form a new team, or request to be placed on a team.  They will NOT attend tryouts. 
  • 5th - 8th grade teams that want to play in the silver or bronze division can form a team without attending tryouts. 

Girls Youth Tryouts:

2nd-6th grade girls - may return to their 2023-2024 team, form a new team or request to be placed on a team. 

7th and 8th grade girls: We will evaluate the need for a team placement on September 30th after we look at registration numbers and determine if there is a need for tryouts.  

 

  • If needed, a team placement date for 7th and 8th Grade Girls will be October 5th in the evening.
  • Please bring a reversible jersey, basketball and water bottle to tryouts.
